Had a emotional moment this morning (25 Sep 07). Not because of Mooncake Festival which coincides but because of my farewell with my Wira.
Bought the car in 2002 and it served me well over these 5 years. I cried with Wira, I laughed with Wira and I felt what Wira felt. No wonder F1 drivers often say, “the car is part of me and I’m part of the car”. I can really understand what Wira is behaving for we are part of each other after 5 years of friendship and bonding.
Hence, to bid farewell to Wira is really hard. I’m grateful that its new owner is a safe driver. Hope Wira finds new home with this new owner. Here are some final moment with Wira.

Auf Wiedersehen mein Auto! Ich vermisse dich. Für alles, danke. Viel dank.
(Good bye my car! I miss you. Thank you for everything. Thank you very much)
Recently, I’ve developed an “interesting” interest – sky watching. Maybe because after seeing European skies, I long for similar skies in Malaysia. Although the comparison can’t be made perfectly, Malaysia does provides splendid sky view.
Here are some for sharing. All these pictures were taken at first glance using my camera phone. So pardon for the not-so-good quality of the photos.

This was taken in MMU while I was invigilating. While walking a student to toilet, saw this beautiful piece of sky and voila.

This was taken from my office’s window. Look at the skies across Cyberjaya. That is too beautiful to miss and voila…..

This picture was taken during MMU’s 2007 Convocation. Once a year, this tree will bear beautiful flowers creating a sense of “spring” in Cyberjaya. Let me show you what these trees were like in August 2006.

Splendid right? I felt like I’m in a 4-Season countries
Lastly, this was taken at the same time but two different days. Both these photos were taken at 6:30am in the morning. The misty morning was taken on 23 Nov 2006 and the clear morning was taken on 24 Nov 2006. What a big contrast. When I woke up on the 23 Nov 2006, I thought we are having winter in Cyberjaya….

But the next morning, hoping to catch the similar view, reality sips in with this is what Cyberjaya should be….

Nonetheless, all these are the splendid creation from the Lord Almighty. Wherever we are, His blessings are everywhere. Glory be to Him.
I know I know. After BBC interviewed our Foreign Minister, the title “Hard Talk” seems suddenly to be a popular word to be used.

Well, not so in my case. Have a hard talk with one of the student. Thanks to Lichard for reminding despite the “routine-ness” and “predictable-ness” life of academician, the chance to impact the student can always be done whenever there’s opportunity.
I’m glad this hard talk revealed to me that this student cares about learning in university.
I’m glad this hard talk revealed to me that this student wants changes for his future.
I’m glad this hard talk revealed to me that this student trusted me with all these “talks”
I’m glad this hard talk revealed to me that this student can and/or be impacted by me.
Though I can’t make the difference to the whole world but I’m glad I can make a difference to that particular student. I wish him all the best in his future undertaking but with a start, pass my subject this coming final
After being registered to multiply for almost 5 months (for the sake of uploading photos of my trip to Darmstadt and Warsaw), finally I’ve decided to give myself a little taste of blogging.
Now is 845am, 17 Sept 2007, Monday and I have another 15 minutes to go before my lab session starts. Feeling sleepy and bored as I have to prepare to repeat myself over and over again the lab procedure for the experiments to be conducted. Academician’s life can be really routine and predictable. @_@
